Whoa! They Might Be Giants is coming to town! They are on a mini, three date, "kid's" tour of NY and PA to support Generation Schools, a non-profit urban public school pilot model designed to have teachers working with handfuls of children instead of roomfuls. Sounds radical...and wonderful! They surely have my interest peeked...read more about them here.
World Cafe Live is playing host on the Philly stop, Saturday 12/9/06. They are playing two gigs here, at 11am and 2:30pm - both billed as kid shows. With the service fees ($3 for the adult tix and $1 for the youngsters) the tickets come to $23 and $16 respectively.
The other stops, Nyack and Brooklyn, NY each have an afternoon kid performance and an adult show in the P.M.
OWTK has gleefully purchased three tickets for the late morning concert.
