dumb!
Oh, what was I thinking...we went back to Cheeburger Cheeburger (bordering on addictive, this place) for some milkshakes. Tuesday's Family Fun night - Balloon Animals this time!
My daughter had the nice women/balloon artist/non-clown make her a Frosty the Snowman. Very cute, with red hat and scarf. She used a Sharpie marker to "make" the buttons, eyes, etc...
Our girl shared a Neapolitan shake (choc/van/strbrry) with the Mrs. Those handful of sips had her wired for the next 2 hours. We stayed up later then usual to watch "I Want A Dog For Christmas" Charlie Brown on abc - that extra time was also needed to let her detox from the ice cream.
Lesson learned. Only cookies and milk late at night from now on. ha!

Consumption of sugar has no effect on children's behavior as rated by objective observers. This is a myth:

What may have changed the behavior is going out later in the evening and having the balloon animals made. There's another possible covariate, too. Children whose parents don't restrict sugar at all, ***(which I am not by any means accusing you of)*** letting their children eat whatever they want whenever they want it, are also more likely to let their children run wild in other ways. And parents who restrict sugar (it is bad for your teeth, after all) are also more likely to teach self-restraint and obedience.
Right on. It must have been the balloon snowman. Not sure why I didn't think of that. Must restrict the obtaining of such humorous diversions to 5pm and earlier.
...Gotta run and scoop out some of the Snowcaps from my daughters mouth. We try to tell her only a handful or two at a time, but you know how those things go!
