Yesterday, my girl and her schoolmate friends played The Bear Hunt game. This is, by far, her favorite school time activity and has been for some time. Every time they play this game, she comes home talking about it, excitedly. Although I have not been able to nail down exactly what The Bear Hunt is, it does seem to be a music/audio related adventure where people or animals (not sure what the kids are pretending to be) are in search of a big bear. She, along with some of the younger kids in the room, used to be scared of the Bear in which they were after, but according to her recap of yesterdays outing - none of the youngsters got scared, which is pretty awesome.
Anyone play/heard of The Bear Hunt Game?

it sounds like the song/story "we're going on bear hunt"--"going on a bear hunt, gunna catch a big one. we're not scared! what a beautiful day!" the book is illustrated by helen oxenbury, the song is traditional, it's good stuff.
