In case you have not heard about this recent study of the effectiveness of infant, rear facing car seats...these findings from Consumer Reports are more than a little alarming.
Important information for anyone with a baby, a car and a carseat.

You are too funny, Jeff. Of course I read yours! (Though I haven’t been reading too much of anything lately; I’ve been working too hard – but not this week! Yet, anyway.) I’m really grateful you commented as it prompted me to go read you tonight. I didn’t know about the infant seat thing. Conner has just reached 20 lbs so I’m now car seat shopping this week thanks to you. And I’m such a ditz. Do you know that I’ve replied to you now a number of times?
