We couldn't have asked for and received a better morning for hanging out on the beach. We relaxed Gulf-side before the Phillies v. Braves game today. More posts and pics coming later as I play catch up. We have been out all day!
There are, what appears to be, complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas set out all along Clearwater Beach. They are not free. The cost is $12 for 2 hrs or $18 for the day, for a pair of chairs and one source of shade. But, if you get to the beach early enough, like we did, you can use them for free for a few hours - they did not come looking for money until 11:30am, which is just as we were leaving anyway. There is an exclusive OWTK beach tip (haha)!
The big red ship is a Pirate themed cruise. Seems very cool, especially with all the Pirates of the Caribbean movie stuff still fresh in peoples minds and imaginations.It was a great day, much more later.
