Attention all Delaware Valley readers...If you love great kiddie rock then you'll be pleased to know that the weekend of love offers up some terrific live music for families.
First, Milkshake will rock the house at World Cafe Live in Philly on Valentine's Day proper - Saturday, February 14th. Despite the outfits pictured here, Milkshake is not a Civil War-era string band. Instead this veteran children's rock band from Baltimore makes music that is upbeat and thoughtful...and fully modern-sounding. To celebrate Valentine's Day, the band will supply chocolate kisses to all and each family will receive a free Milkshake comic. How cool is that? Buy tickets for their World Cafe Live gig here.
And then on Sunday, February 15th the venerable Justin Roberts is set to perform a benefit show in Pennington, NJ (just above Trenton, near Princeton). The cause is a noble one, The Hopewell Playground Project. Why not help the effort and hear some fine kiddie rock in the process. Buy tickets here.
