A sign for one of the most famous streets in the world.
The Arc de Triomphe (from the middle of the Champs Elysees)

The Eiffel Tower, of course. I was looking up at it through a patch of trees in a nearby park, along Quai Branly. We walked from the Arc de Triomphe, down the Champs, hung a right on Georges V and there it was. Our girl was positively delighted to see it after talking about for months. We did not get to ride to the top (not yet!). There were only 2 (of the 4) lifts operating and the queue was horrific! She was a bit down, but luckily there were a couple of carousels (discussed on the next post, with a picture) to divert her attention - she is a HUGE carousel fanatic! After 5 rides on the two carousels nearby, we walked up the Trocadero. This final shot is from there - the lighting was beautiful this time of night (around 7 pm).
We were able to get some terrific shots of our little girl looking in the direction of the city centre and the Tower. Just a wonderful evening all around.
There was also a group of young kids doing tricks on skateboards, bikes, and rollerblades. They were jumping on and around the Trocadero steps. We all enjoyed the primetime people watching (a favorite Paris pastime).
